Newport VII

October 3rd, 2005

Well what another cool year in Newport, TN. For the last seven years we i have been speaking in the small town of Newport, TN and God has always done some BIG things while we have been there. Thanks again to Rob Myers and his team for loving and supporting this ministry! Newport was movin’ up this with a brand new Ruby Tuesday, it breaks up the trips to Waffle House and the greatest Mexican food place La Carretta (or the Cart)….mmm tasty!. The week is always a ton a fun. I must say one of the coolest services I have been a part of is the last night communion time as the students came two by two to kneel at the table. It blows me away to see God on the move in that town year after year. See you next year!

Michigan Got Rocked!

September 15th, 2005

Whoa, last night rocked! A few over 500 of us gathered in Coldwater, MI at the high schools for a LOUD night. It was an honor to share the stage with Staple, Kids In The Way, Kurios, and Disciple. All of the bands rocked, Kurios led us in some coolest, freshest, hands in the air worship. Students made commitments not to just gather around a flagpole but to radically change their campus not with a bunch of religious activity but with the radical love of God. Thanks to Disciple they are ready to RISE UP. This has been a busy few weeks. Another busy 30 days is ahead. Had a great time last week at AO at MTSU last week. Home for 48 hours then off on the road with The Turning. Props to Bob at the front desk of the Holiday Inn Express.

Happy Anniversary to Me (and Leslie too)

September 4th, 2005

It was a lovely 115 degree day in Denton, TX seven years ago that Leslie and I said I do. I am still not sure what we she was thinking. God brought me the coolest chic ever and we have had seven really cool and crazy years. Drop her a email over at the fam page and congratulate her on surviving being married to me! Also of notable mentioning our little dog Gibson Franklin Weaver celebrated his 4th birthday last week.

It MySpace Now!

June 29th, 2005

I have entered the very strange but friendly place know as MySpace. You can swing by and be friend. What a great place where people can make new friends. It’s ok to be on MySpace even if you are not wearing a black t-shirt that would not fit your little brother, and tapered jeans with your black converse. Although it is prefered. So come on, be my friend…. please Be My Friend. I said please.

Infuse Coming to a Town Near You.

June 13th, 2005

This fall, I will be hitting the road with several of the different Fuselage bands doing Infuse events around the country. Infuse is an event designed to come to your town to challenge your students to dig deeper in their walk with the Lord and to let others know about how Christ has changed their lives. During this 4-5 day event, I travel with a Fuselage band who will connect with your students both on and off stage. The band will lead worship for the as well as do an outreach concert during a night of Infuse. Each night has a different focus and will have a little something for everyone regardless of where they are in their relationship with the Lord. Infuse is a great way for a community to come together and build unity as the students draw closer to the heart of God. There are some dates for the fall still available. For more information about Infuse, please call the XN Artist office and they can provide you with further information and schedule your event.
